Checkout All Snapdragon 600 Processors

There is no doubt that the production of the smartphone market is going to heights day by day with the number of users increasing rapidly. A lot of new smartphone manufacturing companies have arrived in the global market due to the increased demand. You might be knowing that one of the major components that are responsible for the superb and fast performance of the phone is the processor.

There a many processor manufacturing companies but there is no doubt that Qualcomm is currently at the top of all of them. Technographx has brought this article to make you aware of the famous Snapdragon 600 series of Qualcomm which is giving a solid standing to the company in the processor business.

The naming system of the 600 series is not simple and so it could be difficult to keep track of the position of the processor for you. For example, the Snapdragon 630 processor, launched in 2017 is better than the Snapdragon 632 which got recently launched.

You must understand that these naming screw-ups are intentional and it is done for keeping the general public guessing. Snapdragon 660, Snapdragon 636, Snapdragon 632, Snapdragon 630, and Snapdragon 625 are the five chips in the Snapdragon’s 600 series.

The series is further divided into two sections – The lower and upper mid-range. Snapdragon 636 and 660 fall in the upper mid-range category and rest of the processors fall in the Lower mid-range. SD 636 and SD 660 are one of the most powerful chips in the series. The first chip to use the custom Kryo cores in 2017 was the SD 660 and SD 636 joined it in the same year. SD 632 has custom cores but it doesn’t fall in this category.

You might be thinking that SD 636 is much closer to SD632 and SD630 but you are wrong, in fact, it is closer to SD 636. Both the processors are having similar CPU specs. They both have the same custom Kryo 260 cores in a 4+4 cluster. The comparison of Snapdragon 660 vs 636 is also very close.

The difference is there between 660 and 636 in their cores and their clocked frequencies. That is 2.2GHz for SD660 and 1.8GHz for SD636. SD 660 has GPU of Adreno 512 which is very powerful than Adreno 509 of SD 630. Adreno 509 is placed below 510 but is having more capacity in terms of performance. Adreno 512 stands above both of them as it has the clock speed of 800MHz.

So, this was a brief overview of the different processors of the Snapdragon 600 series. If you want to have the best performance, then you have to go for the Snapdragon 660 without any doubt!
